About the original material of the wood
About the fixed texture
About the spliced technique
The texture of high-quality old wood furniture should be natural, smooth, clear, and aesthetically pleasing, exuding a unique artistic charm. However, as old wood products are made from recycled products like Elm door, beam or recycled pine, splicing may sometimes result in color discrepancies and uneven shades. There may even be abrupt splicing marks, and in some areas severely weathered, obvious repair traces can be seen. Paradoxically, such repair marks can endowthe furniture with a sense of history and antiquity, giving it a distinctive and charming character.
